The Australian War Memorial located in Canberra that commemorates the sacrifices made by Australian servicemen and women in conflicts across the world.

Holding several commemorative events throughout the year, including the emotional ANZAC Day Dawn & National Services, Remembrance Day along with other ceremonies and events.

Each day at the Memorial farewells visitors with its moving Last Post Ceremony in the Commemorative Courtyard. Each night the ceremony shares the story behind one of the names on the Roll of Honour.

The Australian War Memorial is an important national institution that serves as a reminder of the impact of war on Australia and its people, as well as a place of commemoration and reflection for those who have served and those who continue to serve.

You must have a ticket to attend the daily Last Post Ceremony. Entry is free.

We encourage you to register a ticket in advance. Tickets may be made available at the Memorial entry, subject to capacity.

Research centre: The memorial has a research centre that provides access to a vast collection of archives, photographs, and other resources related to Australia’s military history. The research centre also offers assistance to researchers, historians, and genealogists.
